Description

Needs traffic calming on 21st street between leigh and veneble. Please install speed bumps or air cushions. Drivers use this stretch as a short cut and drive way too fast (40-50) regularly Corner of 21st and cedar is a bus stop Cars do not observe busses stopped and race past them. Accidents happen regularly.

    • The Department follows Neighborhood Traffic Management Program (NTMP) guidelines for the installation of any physical traffic calming measures on City streets. • The latest five-year crash history (from 1/1/2018 - 12/31/2022) on N 21st St between Venable St and E Leigh St revealed one Property Damage Only crash. The length of the roadway segment from stop to stop measures approximately 870'. Per NTMP, a speed table is not recommended at this time.
