Description
My request was just closed and denied because not enough accidents have happened. This is a pedestrian crosswalk and the cars going on this street are driving between 30 and 50 mph. It is unclear what the perameters of crash tollerance and number of casualties we are ok with before enforcing speeds and designing traffic calming measures. Given the open ticket with pedestrain crossing signs being struck. This needs to be looked at more critically.

- Staff · March 19, 2024A three-year search of the DMV crash data base (1.1.21 to 12.31.23) did not show any reported pedestrian crashes on Dock St between 18th St and Pear St. A rectangular rapid flashing beacon was installed on Dock St at 21st St. One pole and flasher were damaged but has since been replaced. Two speed tables are planned for Dock St between 18th St and Pear St.
