Description

Another serious accident at the intersection of Belvidere and Spring Street. This is the third serious accident in the last 5 months. There needs to be an improvement in safety features at this intersection. Speed is most likely playing a role as no one obeys the speed limit and treats this section of Belvidere as a racetrack.

DPW recently reviewed the Belvidere St corridor and installed several “reduced speed ahead” and “speed limit” signs between the James River and I-95. No further signing actions are planned at this time. The RPD have been alerted about speeding.
