Description
All of the new Carytown rose plantings are infected with Rose Rosette Disease. This disease is caused by a specific microscopic mite that can be carried further distances by wind currents, blowing to new roses. Infective mites can also be carried to new sites on gloves, clothing, or tools. Unfortunately, there is no cure for RRD and symptomatic roses should be destroyed in order to protect any other roses growing in the area.
