Description
E Main St between Nicholson St and Dock St is completely closed. There was no advance notice provided to the public of this road closure. There is limited signage. Barricades are not properly installed. Detour route can not properly handle increased traffic. Consider retiming nearby signals, increasing signage, and reducing road closure to off peak hours. This route is a major thru route through the City and its complete closure without warning or proper planning is unacceptable.

- Staff · September 9, 2022An inspector visited this location and spoke with the City Department undertaking the work; we have been advised that a public notice was issued regarding the construction activities and changed traffic pattern; adjustments to the maintenance of traffic plan/signage is being reviewed, as well as signal timing adjustments; the work is scheduled to be complete within approx two (2) weeks of today's date. Your frustration regarding the traffic impacts are understandable and we appreciate your patience.
