Description

There have been 2 high speed accidents in the last few months that resulted in multiple cars being totaled at this intersection. No major injuries yet, but that feels like an inevitability unless something changes. Currently it's a two-way stop, going in both directions on 32nd, while Q has no stop signs. After the stop sign on Q at 31st, people drive much faster, & people on 32nd often think that the cross-traffic on Q also has a stop sign, which was the reason for both the major accidents.

ll all-way stops must meet the warrants in the Federal Manual on Uniform Traffic Control Devices (MUTCD). The intersection of Q St and N. 32nd St does not meet the traffic conditions. DPW will plan to perform maintenance such as stop bars and stop sign replacements as needed
