Description
A new carwash has opened on the corner of Broad St. and Sauer Ave, which has dramatically increased through-way traffic. Our neighborhood has lots of children and pets. Cars now speed through on a daily basis, specifically southbound on Sauer, causing an elevated safety concern. Ideally a 4-way stop/stopsign would be added at the intersection of Sauer Ave and Fitzhugh Ave. Thank you.

- Staff · June 24, 2022DPW must perform an engineering study in accordance with the Federal Manual on Uniform Traffic Control Devices (MUTCD) before installing an all-way stop. This is a federal publication that applies to allstreets open to pubic travel. This intersection does not have the volume conditions for an all-way stop. DPW will make sure 25mph signs are posted along the corridor.
