Description
In the 4 years I have lived at the intersection of 25th Street and O Street in Church Hill, there have been numerous collisions. They have occurred at all times of day, under all weather conditions. Some have involved multiple vehicles, some have only involved on vehicle. The most recent occurred at 1am on 5/31/2022. Increased pedestrian activity (especially children) at this intersection requires more control over driver behavior, for the safety of all.

- Staff · June 10, 2022The Department of Public Works (DPW) must perform an engineering study in accordance with the Federal Manual on Uniform Traffic Control Devices (MUTCD) before installing a traffic signal. Warrants in theMUTCD Manual on Uniform Traffic Control Devices must be met. This is a federal publication that applies to all streets open to pubic travel. N. 25th St and O St does not meet the conditions set forth in the MUTCD for a traffic signal. No parking signs will be installed to enhance intersection sight distance.
