Description
The Franklin Street bike lanes have several conflict points with cars turning left. The worst intersection is at 7th Street and Franklin Street, where the downhill grade of Franklin Street makes it difficult for bicyclists to stop in time for cars turning left who fail to yield. To improve safety, a Left Turn Yield to Bikes sign should be installed on the mast arm over eastbound Franklin Street. An example of a similar sign can be found at www.roadtrafficsigns.com, sign number K2-1572-L.
