Description
We have two tulip poplars that need some help. Tree Stewards and Dept of Forestry have been out to look both said to mulch but neither tree is in great shape. One has shelf fungus and co-dominate leaders, both have bark damage that are letting pests in. I know this isn’t an emergency situation but we really love the trees and want to try to get them back on track. Thank you!

- Staff · May 31, 2022there is bark separation and fungus growing, these a signs that the trees are in such decline that removal is warranted. Mulch and water treatment would be ineffective at this point. Can replant trees in fall.
