Description
This intersection is the primary walking/biking path for Mary Munford students. Even with a crossing guard at arrival and dismissal, it is very unsafe. There have been several accidents during dimissal this year alone- and many other close calls. The School flasher is BEHIND the crosswalk. And reduced speed should be updated to 20 since Grove is now 30 MPH. Something needs to be done. This is very unsafe for students and our crossing guards.

- Staff · April 27, 2022A walk signal on Grove at Commonwealth is a capital expense and not in the budget. Pedestrian warning signs and crosswalks are present. A project is also planned in the Mary Munford School area to modernize the school flashers and to improve signing and markings on Cary St and Grove Ave. The project is in the advertisement process.
