Description
This intersection is the main one for people walking to Mary Munford. In the morning and afternoon there is a crossing guard - even with the guard in place there have been many numerous almost awful pedestrian/car accidents. It is just a matter of time. And, it is unfair to put the responsibility on a RPS teacher to stop four lanes of traffic every morning and afternoon. We need a walk signal before the school year next year. Right now due to new paving there are not even lanes in the road.

- Staff · April 27, 2022A walk signal on Grove at Commonwealth is a capital expense and not in the budget. Pedestrian warning signs and crosswalks are present. A project is also planned in the Mary Munford School area to modernize the school flashers and to improve signing and markings on Cary St and Grove Ave. The project is in the advertisement process.
