Description
We NEED a speed bump. With the cobblestones people would go 45 mph on our road. Which I KNOW is shocking. Now they are paving it so it will be even easier to speed. I can get letters of support from every single neighbor. Please tell me what it will take. We are all VERY concerned as many of us have young children. I see the field engineer has driven the street and feels it’s unnecessary but please even just put down the wire that clocks People’s speed. You will quickly see how fast people go.

- Staff · March 25, 2022Once the street is paved DPW will arrange speed samples on Carrington to determine if a speed table is needed. Speed sampling are contracted out it may take awhile.
- Staff · June 16, 2023A speed table is not planned given the speed samples taken on Carrington Street in May 2023. The 85th percentile speed is 17 mph. The speed samples show compliance with the posted 25 mph speed. *The 85th percentile speed = the speed at or below which 85percent of vehicles travel.
