Description

Everyone parks in the bike lanes on Brookland Park ever since repaving! What's the point of moving the bike lane closer to the curb if you're just going to let people park in them? There needs to be bollards and signs to get people parking to the left of the lines, just like Brook Road which is perfect, instead of on the curb and thus in the bike lanes. This is necessary ALL THE WAY on Brookland Park up to the Brook intersection.

I checked with the City Pedestrian, Bicycle and Trails Coordinator. The paving contractor recently completed the bike lane markings on Brookland Parkway. Another contractor will install flex posts and corresponding signage to match the Brookland Parkway bike lane plans.
