Description
Please consider replacing grooved concrete with asphalt or other modern surface when expressway surface is repaved, to reduce highway noise. Current grooved concrete is nearing the end of its useful life since it is original to expressway and has a ~50 year lifespan. Asphalt will have slightly higher costs after installation, but is easier to repair and cheaper than noise barriers (or decking over highway as some have suggested!). Hopefully a simple solution for all parties.
