Description
There is a lot of foot traffic on Chellowe going to and from Southampton Rec in the summer as well as neighborhood walkers year round. Its a down hill grade from the Rec Center down Chellowe to Cherokee and consequently drivers seldom observe the speed limit. It forces walkers into the drainage ditch at times and undermines pedestrian safety. I would like for Chellowe to be considered for a speed hump to help provide a safer pedestrian walk way.

- Staff · January 13, 2022Travel runs do not reflect the need for a speed table on Chellowe Rd between Cherokee and Prairie Rd. DPW will insure 25mph signs are installed on Chellowe Rd in this area. We installed playground signsseveral years ago.
