Description
Crossing Jefferson Ave between N 23rd and N 24th St is very dangerous as vehicles do not stop for pedestrians. The painted crosswalk does very little to slow traffic and enforcement is non-existent. A lit signal, along with other traffic calming measures, are needed to facilitate crossing Jefferson. I understand that prior studies were completed, but pedestrian traffic in this area has changed since that study was performed.

- Staff · December 29, 2021Jefferson Ave has pedestrian warning signs and marked crosswalks. A three year crash history did not show any reported pedestrian crashes. No immediate actions are planned at this time but we are planning another Jefferson Ave streetscaping project to complete the north side of Jefferson Ave.
