- Staff · December 22, 2021I reviewed the intersection of Grove Avenue and N. Sheppard Street. The crash history (1-1-2018 to 12-1-21) revealed six reported crashes according to the Richmond Police Department: - 2018 = 1 - 2019= 3 - 2020 = 0 - 2021 = 2 All of the crashes were of the “property damage” type with no visible injuries or fatalities. The intersection has marked crosswalks on each leg, No parking tow away signs on Grove on both sides of Sheppard to enhance intersection sight distance plus Stop, One-way and Do not enter type signs. Given the location near the Museums DPW will plan to install pedestrian warning signs in each direction on Grove at Sheppard. A combination speed table / crosswalk on GroveAvenue between Colonial Avenue and Sheppard Street has all approvals but is unfunded at this time. This will be similar to the other two combination speed table / crosswalks on Grove west of Sheppard.
