Description

Several of the corners of Sheppard & Kensington do not have a No Parking sign indicating the no parking area within 20’ of an intersection. This intersection has very heavy pedestrian traffic due to several museums and residences on the block. Drivers regularly park too close to the intersection, including in the crosswalk, reducing line of sight for pedestrians and drivers alike, which is a safety hazard. This is also not a 4-way stop, which increases the safety concerns.

M There are existing No Parking signs on the corners of Kensington Ave at Sheppard. All all-way stops must meet the warrants in the Federal Manual on Uniform Traffic Control Devices (MUTCD). The intersection of Kensington and Sheppard does not meet these traffic conditions.
