Description

People run the stop signs all the time and we have a daycare on the block. Adding a bright yellow people-crossing-the street signs will draw more attention to the stop signs. Placement of the current stop signs is not ideal, they are somewhat hidden. Adding a stop sign-coming-up sign would also help. Painting new lines and the word "stop" would also be good.

M This intersection has all-way stop signs with stop bars and crosswalks. Also there are advance all way stop ahead signs on Grove. No further action is planned at this time. DPW has a federal safety project to install "STOP for pedestrians" signs at 55 high incident locations selected across the City. The selected locations had a high number of pedestrian crashes. We will evaluate the effectiveness of the new signs and the sustainability after three months of data and input from the public before installing more signs.
