Description

There have been 5+ T-Bone accidents at this intersection in the last ~2 year with an increase in speed along this section and with COVID 19. Accidents seem to occur from observation of multiple due to speed on belvedere and no advanced greens/turning lanes. This is the last light before the bridge to southside which appears to contrubute to the situation.

M The City reviewed the Belvidere St corridor last year and adjusted the speed limits and installed more speed limit signs. The Signal Systems Engineer will review the crash history and the signal phasingas requested. EB – See my related email. TB

M There is no budget to make a traffic signal upgrade at this intersection. Consideration will be given if funds come available in the next fiscal year budget. No further action is needed at this moment.
