Description
Mature, > 40-ft. pine is dropping more branches than usual and has far fewer live needles than in the past (and is noticeably less well-needled than similar pines on our street). An arborist inspecting non-city trees on my property agreed that this tree is at risk, possibly due to borer activity. Tree is on Dunston Ave. just east of its intersection with West 45th St. and is labeled a pinus taeda on the city tree inventory.
