Description

I am requesting a 3 way stop sign at the corner of E. Brookland Park Blvd and Dunn Ave. There is heavy street parking because of activities at the nearby recreational center. As well residents cars parked on the street; which causes it to be very difficult to turn onto E. Brookland Park Blvd from the side street Dunn Ave. I keep witnessing close call accidents on a daily-weekly basis.

M All-way stop installations must meet the criteria in the Manual on Uniform Traffic Control Devices (MUTCD). This is a federal manual used by all fifty states to evaluate traffic control devices for streets open to public travel. I have reviewed the intersection of Brookland Park Blvd and Dunn Ave and it does not meet the conditions set forth in the MUTCD for an all-way stop.
