Description

Requesting that the city puts in some speed control measures where Midlothian Turnpike transitions to/from a residential and commercial area, in the vicinity of George Wythe and 3800/3900 blocks. Several accidents have occurred within the past few months, at least two of which involved property damage to the residents yards, vehicles, and/or streetlights/utilities. Photos are from my driveway on Saturday night.

Midlothian Turnpike is posted at 35mph and is signed with enhanced speeding penalty signs. Speed flashers also exist and the speed reduces to 25mph during activities at George Wythe High School. No further changes are planned at this time.
