Description
This is a dangerous intersection when approaching Pine from Albemarle. Most of the intersections are 4-way stops and this one is not, which creates confusion. Additionally, some cars drive way in excess of the speed limit after turning onto Pine from Spring Street, and there is no stop sign to slow people down at Albemarle.

- Staff · July 9, 2021All-way stop installations must meet the criteria in the Manual on Uniform Traffic Control Devices (MUTCD). This is a federal manual used by all fifty states to evaluate traffic control devices for streetsopen to public travel. I have reviewed the intersection of Pine and Albemarle and it does not meet the conditions set forth in the MUTCD for an all-way stop. We will install a no parking sign to enhance intersection sight distance. SC – Prepare asign work order as noted in my email. TB
