A traffic signal exists at Commerce and Maury. All all-way stop installations must meet the criteria in the Manual on Uniform Traffic Control Devices (MUTCD). This is a federal manual used by all fifty states to evaluate traffic control devices for streets open to public travel. I have reviewed the intersection of Maury and the alley that parallels Commerce. It does not meet the conditions set forth in the MUTCD for an all-way stop.
