Description
There is NO crosswalk painted at Hamilton and Cary. Hamilton with Grove on and off ramp and now detour is crazy busy. I was hit crossing 3 years ago and spent 17 days in the hospital.

- Staff · May 26, 2021M - The average daily traffic on Cary St is over 15,000 vehicles a day so adequate gaps in traffic are not present for pedestrians. A crosswalk alone doesn’t slow traffic, nor do they create gaps. With multiple lanes yielding compliance is even lower, and the multiple threat condition (one car stops, the other doesn’t) presents an issue itself. A pedestrian signal would be needed to provide a safe crossing at Hamilton. Safe crossings are provided at Malvern and at Cameron with the traffic signal walk signals.
