Description

This was an adapt-a-tree gingko that never grew any leaves. This tree has now been cut down, although the stump remains. How soon will the City be able to replace the tree? Should a different species be planted? I see that a field engineer noted on May 17, 2021 that the Ginkgo tree was dead and no longer under warranty. I take issue with that assessment in that the tree never thrived, never grew the first leaf. Please replant something in that space. Currently, the tree is only a stump of about 2 inches high, since it was cut down after the gingko was clearly dead. I just spoke with a gentleman about this matter at the Urban Forestry Division. He said that they are currently planting trees for the Adopt-a-Tree program. He was about to give me a phone number of someone in operations but we were disconnected. Can we PLEASE have a replacement tree planted under that Adapt a Tree program? We will pay the fee again if necessary but would hate to have to wait much longer. Thank you It is now January 20, 2023, and we still would like a tree in the space where we had the gingko planted in the Adapt-a-tree program. I am unclear how to proceed. It appears that on May17,2021 a City Field Engineer said the tree was no longer under warranty and was added to removal list. How do I get a replacement tree planted there?
