Description
The crosswalks to Mary Munford Elementary School are unsafe for student and pedestrian traffic. I am requesting enhancements at each of the crosswalks surrounding Munford. This could include fresh paint, as it is weathered, In street "Stop for Pedestrian" signs. A manually triggered flashing pedestrian sign should also be considered for at least one of the Cary intersections (Commonwealth and/or Westmoreland). Cars drive very erratically, especially along Cary Street Rd, and it is not safe.

- Staff · May 13, 2021DPW will review each crosswalk and perform maintenance as needed. A hybrid pedestrian beacon similar to the one installed on Grove at St Catherine’s is planned for Cary and Commonwealth. The safest placeto cross Grove is with a school crossing guard or at the Westmoreland traffic signal.
