Description
writing to request an investigation for a potential traffic signal to be installed or round -about . This is on the 3301 Block of W Grace and corner of Tilden Intersection. It is such a high traffic area especially during the evening hours between 5-7pm . It’s a major cut thru from broad to monument . Bikers never stop at stop signs and blow through the intersection. There are also a lot of pedestrians walking their dogs and I’ve held my breath multiple times in fear of an accident

- Staff · May 4, 2021A traffic signal must meet the warrants set forth in the Manual on Uniform Traffic Control Devices (MUTCD). This is a federal manual used by all fifty states to evaluate traffic control devices for streetsopen to public travel. I have reviewed the intersection of Grace and Tilden and it does not meet the MUTCD conditions for a signal. This intersection has an all-way stop as well as several along the Grace St corridor.
