Description

Cars are consistently speeding between Westbrook and Bellevue Ave, where there are no lights, crosswalks or stop signs. Multiple requests have been submitted for speed enforcement. Families and mail person are often using bike lanes and crossing Brook road and it is dangerous. Speed should be lowered to 25mph through the neighborhood or there should be crosswalks, speed bumps or anything, please!

    DPW is not planning to reduce the speed limit on Brook Road. The new bike lane improvements should have a calming effect on drivers speeds in this area. We will make sure proper speed limit signs are present along the corridor.
