Speed control at the intersection of Lancaster and Tazewell. Traffic routinely speeds through this intersection, which is heavily used by pedestrians. Also there is no sidewalk at all on Tazewell, so pedestrians have to use the street. Suggest a ramp and marked pedestrian crosswalk.

Comments
- Staff · April 12, 2021Cityworks ID: 442111
- Staff · April 22, 2021M The residential area along Tazewell (between Wickham St and Edgehill Hill) has several 25mph signs. The distance between Wickham and the traffic signal at Overbrook Rd is approximately 630’. The distancebetween Overbrook Rd and Edgehill Rd is approximately 660’. These short sections do not qualify for speed tables. All-way stops must meet the warrants in the Federal Manual on Uniform Traffic Control Devices (MUTCD). All states and localities use this manual for determining the need for all-way stops. None of the intersections along Tazewell between Wickham and Edgehill meet the MUTCD conditions for all-way stops. Related signing for one-way streets at Graham, Lancaster and Edgehill along Tazewell is proper with no changes planned at this time.
