Description

We are hoping to get a speed hump or some other deterrent installed. The stretch of Lafayette St between Patterson Ave and Franklin Ave VERY commonly has cars speeding. Some cars appear to reach 35-40 mph on this small stretch. Cars usually are “cutting” over to Monument Ave. or going to Stella’s restaurant. Package delivery trucks are also a concern. There are dozens of families with small children in this areas. This has been a concern for a long time.

    M o Lafayette St traffic must stop at Patterson, Franklin and Monument. A field review confirmed 25mph speed limit signs exist in both directions. Traffic calming measures are not planned at this time.
