Description

The properties at 4421 & 4431 Custis Road adjoin and owned by the same individuals. A series of brick piers along the street frontage of both parcels are being built. Piers are set back from the edge of road by only a few feet. Underground electrical conduit has been installed along the edge of road. Conduits run from pier to pier and for lights on each pier. There is one survey stake visible at the far southern corner of 4421 Custis, well back from the edge of the road.

    The DPW Survey group has been tasked to research the Custis Road right-of-way width and determine if the brick piers/columns and pavers are located within the public right-of-way or on private property; the results of the research will dictate next steps. This service request will be updated as new information becomes available.
