Description
An illuminated pedestrian crossing signal is needed at the traffic circle at Jefferson Ave and 23rd Street. The traffic calming measures provided by the traffic circle are insufficient to actually slow cars going in either direction (E-W, N-S), which leads to consistently dangerous conditions for pedestrians.

- Staff · January 29, 2021Marked crosswalks exist on both Jefferson Avenue and 23rd St. A review of the latest seven year ten month crash period revealed no reported pedestrian crashes at this intersection. An illuminated pedestrian crossing signal is not planned at this time. Future street scape improvements are planned on the Jefferson Ave corridor
