Description
The intersection at Wellington Street on the south side of Brookland Park Boulevard is very dangerous, and there is a very simple solution. Cars parked along Brookland Park Blvd block the view of those at the stop sign at the end of Wellington Street, and there have been several accidents at the intersection. It’s common to hear screeching brakes and near-accidents frequently, as it is nearly impossible to see oncoming traffic due to obstructions and the curve of the road. All it would take to fix this issue would be to install a curved fish-eye mirror on the post across from the intersection so one could see any traffic without having to creep into the intersection. Please see to this dangerous issue with a simple solution and help protect the folks driving in the neighborhood!

- Staff · February 11, 2021A seven year eleven month crash history revealed four reported crashes, (two in 2014 and two in 2017). Two No Parking signs exist now on Brookland Park Blvd at Wellington. No changes are planned.
