Description

There is a volunteer tree in the alley behind 1107 S Meadow that is growing into the water meter. The tree is intertwined with the water meter. The Distribution crew came to fix the damage to the water meter and had to chop around the roots of the service, which makes the tree less stable. It is also growing into the power lines. The Distribution crew recommended contacting the city to remove the tree to prevent further damage to utilities.

City does not plant, maintain, or remove alley trees, nor trees in power lines. Advised citizen by phone that she is free to maintain or remove the tree as she sees fit.
