Description

Speeding on W 49th St is a clear threat to the safety of pedestrians. This stretch of road is heavily trafficked by vehicles continuing West on Bassett Ave to the Westover neighborhood & as a short cut to US 60. The existing speed features on W 49th St (roundabout at Bassett Ave and W 49th & a speed hump between Pine Crest Ave & Reedy Ave) only encourage aggressive acceleration & speeding. A speed hump between Pine Crest & Bassett Aves or roundabout at Pine Crest Ave and W 49th St is requested.
