Description

A Yield to Pedestrians sign is needed at both crosswalks in front of Union market. Drivers driver fast and do not stop for pedestrians. This is very unsafe

    I sent this request to the City Pedestrian, Bicycle and Trails Coordinator for comments.

    M Gaps are generally acceptable on Jefferson in this area and yielding has also been observed to be pretty typical of elsewhere in the City. There is already considerable calming and signage from the previous work done a few years ago. A streetscape project is planned along Jefferson that will improve pedestrian safety. We are currently seeking funding.
