Description
I am requesting a stop sign at the intersection of Venable Street and North 22nd Street in Richmond, VA. Most of the intersections along Venable Street have 4-way stop signs or street lights, with the exception of this intersection, and one other intersection closer to 25th Street. People love to speed down Venable Street daily, and I personally witnessed a dog get hit by a car that continued to speed off at the requested intersection. A stop sign would have prevented this incident.

Comments

- Staff · August 5, 2020ll all-way stops must meet the conditions set forth in the Federal Manual on Uniform Traffic Control Devices (MUTCD). This is the manual that all localities use for the installation of traffic control devices such as stop signs. The intersection of Venable and 22nd St does not meet the MUTCD requirements for an all-way stop.
