Description
We have a major problem with speeding on 1st Ave. The street is a double-wide avenue and for over a quarter mile there are no speed controls between Meadowbridge Rd. &Pollock St. Several times a day we'll have motorcycles, ATVs, cars & dirtbikes speed down 1st Ave at over 50 mph. I think our street is overdue for some traffic controls, either a stop sign at the intersection of Front St & 1st or a speed hump. This would also make the bus stop safer as people could more easily cross the street.

Comments
- Staff · July 28, 2020Cityworks ID: 423967
- Staff · August 7, 2020PW will collect speed samples to determine if traffic calming measures are needed.
- Staff · December 11, 2020M Speed samples reflect the need for a speed table. I am currently seeking the approval of the Fire Marshall. If he approves the speed table then I will seek the approval of the Council Representative. Ifthe Council Representative is ok then the speed table must be budgeted, designed and installed.
