Description
The many trees that line East Main Street from the roundabout at Dock street towards Rocketts landing all have the ties from their original planting still on them. This is not necessary and as an avid gardener actually causes the trees more damage once they are strong enough to stand and are rooted. Some of the trees are large enough to have even broken their bindings. I watch a service go through there every few weeks and yet no one has cared for these trees which I am sure were thousands of $

- Staff · June 18, 2020Fabric ties were used on the planted material during installation. Trees were part of a traffic project and put in by contractor. The ties are not choking the trees out at this point in time, but need to beremoved as they are no longer useful. This would make for a Tree Steward project in the future.
