Description
This intersection is INCREDIBLY dangerous. The cars coming down hospital fly down and it is impossible to see when making a left from 7th onto Hospital. The road is always flooded which adds to the danger. A light or stop sign would help immensely.

- Staff · May 28, 2020All-way stop installations must meet the criteria in the Manual on Uniform Traffic Control Devices (MUTCD). This is a federal manual used by all fifty states to evaluate traffic control devices for streets open to public travel. I reviewed the intersection of Hospital St and 7th Street earlier and it does not meet the conditions set forth in the MUTCD for an all-way stop. I also applied for a Railroad Safety Grant with VDOT to relocate 7th St at Hospital St. VDOT should advise us on the grant later this year. MFR – Please see my email and make sure we have 25mph signs on Hospital St. TAB
