Description

Mature Bradford pear has been repeatedly topped by Dominion because it is beneath power lines to the point that the tree has become dangerously top-heavy on one side and threatens to fall into the street. This is a serious danger to the public. The tree has lost similar large limbs twice over the past 4 years. Both times the tree dropped limbs on the sidewalk. The next time, it will drop on cars parked or driving along 22nd street between Leigh and M streets.
