Description

The multi-intersection that includes Freeman Rd, McCloy St, Douglasdale Rd and the Powhite On/Off Ramp has no crosswalks and is designed in a manner that promotes speeding. Design changes are needed here to make it more pedestrian centric/Vision Zero. Traffic slowing and crosswalks are needed at McCloy & Freeman and Douglasdale and McCloy.

    I consulted with the City Pedestrian, Bicycle and Trails Coordinator. Crosswalks are not recommended at this time at Douglasdale however a crosswalk will be planned for Freeman. Also, the District Councilperson may consider a project for pedestrian infrastructure improvements along the McCloy Street corridor.
