Description

When I went to the North Avenue Library to water the trees it became very evident that someone had sprayed weed/grass killer all around the trees. I’ve done my best to keep the perimeters free from (minimal) weeds and have on many occasions mowed the entire grassy island to keep contracted mowers away the the trees. I have no doubt that the City Lawn care company is guilty of the spraying. It was deliberate and intentional. Contacted City Arborist; RVA Tree Stewards etc. for advice. Contracted lawn care companies are not authorized to spray grass/weed killer on or around city owned trees.
