Description
Sunken curb section, and driveway entrance damaged by roots from large city tree. A curb section on street is sunken, and area ponds in storms. Concrete driveway entry is cracked and partly depressed due to roots from large tree located next to it. Crews have recently been repairing similar issues on this block.

- Staff · September 22, 2023Maintenance and repair of carriage walks and driveway aprons are the citizens responsibility according to city code Sec. 24-175 (b) The owner of any premises abutting that portion of public street right-of-way, whether in front or to any side, to which any form of sidewalk crossing may exist shall be the prima facie owner and responsible party for the maintenance of the sidewalk crossing, whether permitted or not, and adjacent section of sidewalk pavement thereof and shall indemnify and hold the City harmless for any claim or litigation that may ensue as a result from the existence and operation of the sidewalk crossing. Therefore, this repair is not able to be made by the City of Richmond's Sidewalk Maintenance Division.
