Description

At nearly all traffic calming "circles" on Jefferson Avenue, there are no pedestrian warning signs. Additionally, the signs that do exist are after the circles. School signs are also lacking (Central Montessori School) for the Jefferson Avenue Corridor. There is only one sign, directly across from the school. Neither the amount of signs nor the placement of them help with warning drivers.

    A project is planned along Jefferson Avenue. The Greening of Jefferson Avenue is a project that will improve the corridor to promote economic activity through the inclusion of pedestrian safety, bicycle accommodations, additional greenspace, improved transit access, and stormwater runoff reduction.
