Description
Stop sign (3 way stop) is being blocked 24/7 by a SUV. Requesting a DO NOT PARK sign from 20’ prior to stop sign. Current vehicle is approximately 8’ and traffic is having to enter into intersection to see around and view any upcoming traffic. Hazardous. SUV is still blocking the view of upcoming traffic. We are down to one left lane making it difficult to proceed whether going straight or turning as the vehicle (SUV) is blocking the view. Vehicle still parking with 6' of the stop sign. SUV prevents approaching vehicles from seeing the traffic signage and are driving straight through the intersection. Code 102-222 states that vehicles are to park 20' from a crosswalk and/or an intersection. This particular resident has assigned off street parking (2 spaces) behind her residence and is easily accessible and not being used. Today we witnessed a driver barrel through the intersection and narrowly missed a child coming in the other direction on a bicycle. This vehicle is blocking the street sign, taking up an entire lane and blocking traffic from all directions as well as blocking the view of oncoming traffic up a slight hill.
