Description

I am a resident of Northside. I routinely see pedestrians, including children, running across East Brookland Park to avoid cars. Part of the problem is that the crosswalks are ineffective. The intersection of Barton Ave. and East Brookland Park, for example, has crosswalks that are essentially invisible. I recommend creating raised crosswalks here, so that cars slow down and look out for pedestrians trying to cross Brookland Park.

Crosswalks exist now on all four legs and are in good shape. Entrances on Brookland Park Blvd on both sides of Barton Ave so parking is illegal and creates good sight distance. No additional measuresare planned at this time.
